All online credit card accounts can use eStatements. To access your statements you will need to register for Online Card Services
. You can view historic statements online. You can change back to paper statements at any time by calling us on 0818 409 511 Monday to Friday 8am - 8pm, Saturday 8am - 2pm.
As your account is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for unusual activity, it is useful for us to know when you are going to be abroad so we know to expect some international transactions.
By letting us know in advance that you're going away, we can add a travel notification to your account. This helps to reduce any possible inconvenience you might experience when you use your card abroad.
It's easy to notify us - you can add a travel notification through your AvantCard online account
or by giving us a call on 0818 409 511 or +353 71 9594040 if you are already abroad. Please note that we can only accept notification of your travel plans up to 1 week in advance of your departure.
Other useful services for when you are travelling aboad are:
• Worldwide availability—you can use your card in most countries around the world for both shopping and withdrawing cash
• Emergency card replacement and emergency cash—if your credit card is lost or stolen and you require a replacement card or emergency cash while on holiday, don’t worry as we’re here to help. We can send you a replacement card to most countries throughout the world and often within 48 hours. Alternatively we can arrange for you to collect cash (up to 95% of your available credit limit) from a local emergency service location.
• Travel Assistance Services
— We have arranged for International SOS Assistance Limited
to provide you with a variety of special emergency services to assist you when travelling outside your country of residence, for trips lasting no longer than 90 days. Some of the services incur a charge, which you would be responsible for paying if you were to use those services. Please note this is not insurance and is not a substitute for travel insurance.
• VISA Travel Tools App
— Keep in control of your holiday spending with an easy to use currency converter. Wherever you are the world, whatever you are buying, this app helps you work out how much things cost in your own currency. With the handy ATM finder you can find where to access your money at any time and in any local currency using a huge network of ATMs.
If your AvantCard Credit Card is used without your knowledge or consent, please call us on 0818 409 511 or +353 71 9594040 from abroad and we will block your card and investigate any potential fraud transactions. It’s important you contact us immediately if you think your card has been lost or stolen or if you notice any unusual transactions on your account. We will be here to answer your call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
You can share the benefits of your AvantCard credit card by adding up to three additional cardholders to your account. It’s a great way to give members of your family access to your credit limit yet keep an eye on spending – at no extra cost.
An additional cardholder will receive his or her own credit card and PIN providing full access to your credit limit. All cardholder transactions and charges incurred will be on the one statement for easy maintenance and will remain your sole liability.
Remember, the Government Stamp duty is €30 per year for every credit card account. You and your family could save up to €90 per year in Government stamp duty charges by adding up to three additional cardholders rather than open three separate accounts.
If you would like to add a family member to your account, log in to Online Banking
and select “My Card”
Please note that this option may not always be available, for example if your account is over limit or you have missed a payment. Any additional cardholder must be over the age of 18, have their primary residence at the same address and have a relationship of close family member (defined as; spouse, child, parent, sibling or domestic partner)
You can withdraw cash with your AvantCard credit card from cash machines throughout the world. You can also withdraw money from over the counter in a bank, building society or bureau de change. Contact us if you need a reminder of your PIN to help you access you money, log in to Online Banking
and request a PIN reminder by post
Take the hassle out of remembering to pay your subscriptions by setting up a Continuous Authority Transaction. This is an agreement between you and your merchant that allows the merchant to deduct regular payments from your AvantCard credit card account in accordance with your authority, for example Sky subscriptions. It’s easy and quick to do and requires no further action unless you wish to cancel your subscription. If you need to cancel this agreement with a merchant it is advisable to do so in writing to them and retain a copy of your records. AvantCard cannot cancel this authority on your behalf.

If you find you need a higher limit on your credit card, you can request a credit limit increase. To apply for a credit limit increase you just need to log in to Online Banking
and click on the “My Card” tab and select the credit limit increase link. Alternately you can contact our Customer Service Team on 0818 409 511, they are available Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm, Saturday from 8am to 2pm, excluding Bank Holidays.
We may complete a credit search with a credit reference agency in order to help action your request and set an appropriate credit limit.
