  • From time to time we may send you emails regarding your account, e.g. to welcome you as a new customer, or to advise when your credit card statement is available to view online.       

    We would never email you to ask for you to update details/disclose personel inforamtion via an email. If you are in doubt, ring the number on the back of your card: 0818211782 - Mon - Fri 8am - 8pm, Sat 8am - 2pm.

  • You can use your card in most countries around the world for both shopping and withdrawing cash.  As your account is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for unusual activity, it is useful for us to know when you are going to be abroad so we know to expect some international transactions.
    By letting us know in advance that you're going away, we can add a travel notification to your account. This helps to reduce any possible inconvenience you might experience when you use your card abroad.
    It's easy to notify us - you can add a travel notification through your AvantCard online account or by giving us a call on 0818 409 511 or 00 353 71 9594040 if you are already abroad. Please note that we can only accept notification of your travel plans up to 1 week in advance of your departure.
    Other useful Services for when you are abroad are:
    Emergency card replacement and emergency cash—if your credit card is lost or stolen and you require a replacement card or emergency cash while on holiday, don’t worry as we’re here to help. We can send you a replacement card to most countries throughout the world and often within 48 hours. Additionally we can arrange for you to collect cash (up to 95% of your available credit limit) from a local emergency service location.
    Travel Assistance Services - We have arranged for International SOS Assistance Limited to provide you with a variety of special emergency services to assist you when travelling outside your country of residence, for trips lasting no longer than 90 days. Some of the services incur a charge, which you would be responsible for paying if you were to use those services. Please note this is not insurance and is not a substitute for travel insurance.
    Transactions made in the following coutries will not be accepted - Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Crimea.
    Our overseas number can be found at the back of your card if you need to contact us for any assistance in using your card. Our Customer Service Team are available to help 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 2pm on Saturday, excluding Bank Holidays on +353 71 95 94040.
    It is also useful to make a note of this number or add it to your phone contacts before you travel in the event you lose your card or require emergency assistance. This team are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be reached on the same number +353 71 95 94040.
